This isn’t a typical networking group where you show up, exchange business cards, and leave. The focus is on real conversation. Business owners share what’s actually working, talk through challenges, and build relationships over time. It’s designed to be a group you come back to, not just a one-time event.
What does the Mastermind include?
In-person Meetups
Rotating monthly gatherings giving you the chance to connect with a variety of business owners. Each meetup includes time for both structured learning and open networking, so you can meet new people while still having real conversations.
Online Sessions
Additional sessions focused on specific topics, open Q&A, or working through challenges together. These are designed to go deeper, giving you a chance to learn, ask questions, and apply ideas directly to your own business.
Ongoing Connection
Stay connected between meetups through the private Skool community, where conversations continue and questions don’t have to wait for the next event. It’s a space to share updates, ask for input, and build relationships over time.

What matters is what you do next. Join author and small business speaker Jason Owens for a practical, encouraging session on how to pivot when unexpected changes happen. This is not a hype talk or a list of quick hacks. Jason will help you name the season you’re in, find a clear next step without waiting for perfect certainty, and move forward with renewed courage and a fresh connection to why your work matters.
After the session, the room opens up for conversation with other Colorado dog business owners. Bring your questions and your own pivot stories, and hear how others are navigating the same twists.
Jason has spent more than 20 years helping entrepreneurs and small business owners sharpen their message, strengthen their sales, and make good decisions under pressure, including work with SBDC groups in North Carolina and Colorado. He’s a published author, and a dog lover too.

If you’ve been putting off getting a decent headshot (we see you), this month’s Mastermind has you covered.
Shania Greenwood, founder of Rat Dog Media and a Mastermind member herself, is joining us to offer headshots to the group. Shania grew up surrounded by animals on her family’s cattle farm in Ohio before studying communications at Kent State and building a career photographing dogs and horses. She’s now based right here in Denver, where Rat Dog Media has become known for portraits that capture real personality and connection, not just a posed smile.
Headshots are free for Mastermind members and $25 for nonmembers.
Between the networking, Shania’s camera, and Wendy Van Ryn’s session on showing up as the face of your business, this is the night to finally get a photo of yourself you’re proud to put on your website.
