This is a beautiful trail in Boulder that offers magnificent mountain views without much strenuous effort. We love this trail in the winter, since there is not a ton of shade and it gets hot in the summer. Keep an eye out for rattlesnakes in the summer too!
It does get pretty busy on weekends and some days may be off leash, so keep that in mind if you have a reactive dog. Your dog has to be registered in the Boulder Voice and Sight program to be off leash on this trail.
We recommend starting counter clockwise so you start with the steep section and then have a nice, steady decline the rest of the hike. However, it is pretty doable for most skill levels.
